In 2014 the ground-breaking film “Interstellar” won many accolades, including the nomination for Best Original Score at the Academy Awards. To mark it’s 10th anniversary, St Mary Redcliffe is hosting a unique concert showcasing music from the film. It will be performed by Roger Sayer, the organist who worked with Hans Zimmer to create the original soundtrack.
The moving score makes full use of the power and creativity of the pipe organ. It was originally recorded at Temple Church, London, where Roger Sayer is organist, and now you have a chance to hear the score played live, by the original performer on the world renowned St. Mary Redcliffe Organ.
There will be opportunities to hear Roger reminisce about working with the composer, and audience members will also have the chance to ask questions about the making of the soundtrack.
