Organ and Car Treasure Hunt to churches and organs in the
Clevedon area – starting at St Mary’s, Leigh Woods

Bring your own car team, or team up with others at the first venue, for an enjoyable afternoon exploring churches and organs in some lovely local  countryside, with fiendish clues, and opportunity to play the organ at each venue.

The afternoon will culminate at the home of our President and his wife, Adrian and Gay Sawyer, for a pleasant social gathering and a delicious cream tea!

Afternoon ‘Organ Crawl’

Visit to organs at St Peter’s Lawrence Weston, St Peter’s Henleaze and St Mary’s Stoke Bishop, with refreshments served at the final venue.

A short introduction may be given at each venue by the resident organist (or one of our members who knows the organ), then an 'open console' session for those members who wish to play the organ for themselves. Once members have played and chatted, they can make their way to the next venue.

Performed by David Bednall and Paul Walton, this is a meditative, multi-sensory experience, performed in a candlelit cathedral suffused with incense: sound, light, and scent in praise to God. Admission to the recital is free, and all are welcome.
